Do you allow dogs in your campervans? At the moment we don't have any vans that can accommodate pets. This is due to allergy reasons and also as our vehicles are sometimes sold before they end their hire season. There are however some great dog boarding services in the local area that we can recommend such as our friends Sarah-Anne and Marlene at Barking Mad. Learn more here.
-
Can I take a campervan outside the UK?You sure can! However there is an insurance surcharge for usage in the EU, so if you're planning on going to the EU please do let us know and we can provide a quote based on your trip.
-
Can I collect the van from the airport? For security & logistics reasons, it is not possible to collect a vehicle from the airport. We do offer an airport transfer service at a small cost, making it easy for you to collect the van from our depot in Wishaw. The airport collection/drop off consists of you and your party being picked up upon your arrival and taken to our hire depot. We are approximately 30 minutes from Glasgow International Airport and 40 minutes from Edinburgh Airport. This service is only available during working hours.

Can I choose a specific campervan?Unfortunately due to our busy and ever changing hire schedule, we are unable to guarantee which vehicle you will be collecting. However, we are confident that you will love your campervan regardless of the make/model! Our Renault and VW campers are all equipped exactly the same and each of our vans has it's own personality inside.
-
What is the length of the campervan? The average length of our campervans is 5m long and 2.2m wide. We have a varied fleet of long and short wheelbases, so there may be a slight difference to the dimensions above but this usually isn't an issue when it comes to booking a campsite/ferry.
-
Do you have any automatic vehicles?Unfortunately we do not have any automatic vehicles at this time.
-
Are the pop-top roofs waterproof? It's important to remember that the canvas material on a pop-top roof is much like a tent in that it's 'water resistant'. However if the canopy becomes soaked during heavy rain & wind, water can begin to seep through! Please be aware that this is common on every campervan with a pop-top roof and comes with the nature of campervanning. We recommend bringing the roof down during heavy rain or move the vehicle away from the direction of the wind/rain to minimise the amount of water that is contacting the roof.
-
Do I need to be hooked up to a campsite power supply to use the campervan? The short answer is, ideally yes. Our vans are fitted with leisure batteries, which will run 12v power i.e some USB ports, LED lights and fridge. However, the leisure battery - like any other battery - requires charging and if you do not connect to a campsite, the battery will deplete and you won't be able to use any of the power facilities inside. It's important to note that most campervans are not built for off-grid use and this includes factory built motorhomes!
-
What happens after we return the van?Once the vehicle is returned, we will then bring it in for cleaning & inspection. This process can take some time depending on the schedule that day and how many vehicles we need to get through. Due to the nature of use of campervans, it is important for us to clean the vehicle prior to inspection. Customers are more than welcome to wait whilst the vehicle is cleaned & inspected, however we realise this is not practical. Customers are also welcome to take photos/videos of the van at the time of drop-off. We aim to return your deposit to you within 24-48 hours of dropping the vehicle off. Please note that an admin fee of £20+VAT is also applied in the event of deposit deductions.
-
How do I avoid penalty charges against my security hire deposit? We do not take pleasure in charging against the security deposit and we really don't ask for much! Simply bring the vehicle back in the condition that you were given it and on time. Charges will apply for late collections/returns, any and all damages, missing items, fuel shortages, penalty charge notices etc. Please note that an admin fee of £20 +VAT is also chargeable on top of any of the above.
