ARE you new to the world of campervanning? Maybe you've bought one of our amazing campervans?
Then we've got you covered with this TOP TEN list if essential items that you'll want to have before heading out on your adventures.
The campervan accessories world is one that never stops in innovation. There are amazing new products released every year which just make campervanning life that little bit easier.
Quality of life products are great and we'll cover some of those soon too, but for now let's get the important stuff out the way.
1. 240v HOOKUP CABLE
This might seem obvious, but a 240v leisure hookup cable is probably the most essential item to carry with you on your journey.
A 240v hookup cable allows you to hook your vehicle up to a campsite that offers power (be sure to ask for a pitch with electric hookup) which gives you full use of your leisure electrical points in your van, whilst also charging your leisure battery at the same time.
These cables come in many different sizes, but our advice is to always go with 15m as a minimum to ensure that you can always reach the campsites power outlet.
240v hookup cable (15m) available from The Wee Camper Co for £35.99

2. CAMPINGAZ 907 GAS BOTTLE
Next up in our top 10 essential campervan items is the Campingaz 907 Gas Bottle.
The Campingaz 907 is the industry standard gas supply bottle and is the largest size in the Campingaz range, holding 2.72kg of butane gas.
All of our campervans come with a steel gas locker which is accessible from the rear of the vehicle and the Campingaz 907 fits perfectly inside. These bottles seem to last forever, especially if you are only using it for cooking purposes!

3. THERMAL CAB BLINDS
Thermal cab blinds are the perfect additional to any campervan!
These blinds are tailored to fit whichever vehicle you have and come with three covers for the front windscreen and two front cab side windows. Most sets come with a handy little zip bag to store the blinds in when not in use.
They easily fit onto the windows via suction cups and will keep your campervan cool in the hot weather and keep it warm in the cold weather.

4. COLLAPSIBLE WASTE BUCKET
So you may be wondering - where does the waste water go when I use the sink in my campervan?
Well, the vast majority of Volkswagen Transporter sized campervans have a free-flowing waste water system whereby the waste water comes directly out from underneath the van. This system is favoured over an independent waste tank as it saves valuable space and weight on your vehicle.
With that being said - this is where your collapsible bucket comes into play! Simply pop your bucket under the waste pipe to catch your waste water and empty it at your campsite waste disposal area. The collapsible values of this bucket make it a great storage saving option and they come in many different size options, but we'd recommend at least a 10L bucket.
Collapsible buckets available from The Wee Camper Co from £9.99
Subject to availability. Please order in advance via your sales representative.
5. AWNING MULTI-RAIL
Ever wondered what that long rail is on the side of campervans? Well that's an awning multi-rail!
These handy units allow you to attach a huge range of drive-away awnings to your vehicle, whilst keeping a sleek and stylish look on your camper. We highly recommend the S+S Multi-rail from our friends over at Stitches+Steel.
The S+S Multi-rail is probably the most versatile VW T4/ T5/ T6 and campervan awning rail on the market. It also provides a gutter for your van to disperse rainwater easily. You can fit a canopy or awning to the gutter using a pole and clamps and there is also a second channel for fitting your awning directly if it has a Kador or bolt rope like our own Tarp awning.
Strong and light this awning rail is mill finished, perfect for painting or powder coating should you wish to colour match.
The S+S Awning Rail is available from The Wee Camper Co. Prices vary.
Subject to availability. Please order in advance via your sales representative.
6. MORE COLLAPSIBLE THINGS!
One vital skill you should learn before venturing out into the wild with your campervan is how to be clever with storage. That's where these handy gadgets come in.
The choice of collapsible items available is huge, and they really will cut down the amount of storage space needed. A few useful things you may wish to add to your inventory are water containers, a wash basin, table & chairs, cups, cooking pots and even dog bowls. Depending on your requirements, there will be a collapsible gizmo out there for you!
Perfect for maximizing storage in a limited space, giving you more room for the rest of your gear.

7. FLOOR MAT
Keeping your campervan neat and tidy can be difficult when exploring the wilderness, especially during inclement weather. One simple way to overcome this is by using a washable floor mat.
These mats are available in an array of designs and sizes to suit your style and requirements. Machine washable ones are useful or there are also some more hard wearing options out there if you plan on getting very muddy! Whatever type you choose, a floor mat will definitely cut down on the amount of time you spend cleaning your floor and can even protect it from being damaged.
Once your trip comes to an end you can simply throw your mat in the washing machine or give it a shake and it's ready for another adventure, easy!
Floor mats are available from most supermarkets/home stores or custom made by The Wee Camper Co.

8. LEVELLING RAMPS
Picture the scene. You arrive at your next campsite destination and - Uh, oh! - the pitch they give you is on a slope! There’s nothing worse than being on a sloped pitch.
Not only does it mess with your balance when moving around in the van it also means that your sink may not be able to drain properly. It’s also important to have your vehicle as level as possible for sleeping purposes.
Well these handy levelling ramps are here to save the day. Just stick them under the front or rear wheels and get your van level! They usually come with a handy carry bag and this can fit under the front seats of your van.
Levelling ramps available from The Wee Camper Co.

9. FLEXIBLE WATER HOSE
Depending on the capacity of your water tank, you may need to refill it throughout your trip. Carrying your own hose will ensure you always have the means to do so wherever there is running water.
Unlike the common garden hose, there are many new designs that are made from food grade materials and fold flat when not in use. This type is perfect for campervans as it means you can drink the water and the hose won't eat into your storage space too much.
Flexible water hoses can be purchased from The Wee Camper Co

10. STOVE KETTLE
Arguably the most important item on this list - a kettle!
Maybe you've just woken up next to a beautiful loch and want to take in the view from the comfort of your van or you've just had a long drive and need a pick-me-up. There isn't much better than a cuppa, and the beauty of campervans is all about having your home comforts on the road with you.
A kettle for heating on your gas stove will surely be one of your most used items and even comes in handy for hot water bottles on colder nights too.
Stove top kettles can be purchased from most home stores
